Holy Hiatus began as a one off project in 2008 when five artists were asked to make temporary public artworks in response to the themes of ritual, community and place. Since then, Holy Hiatus has become a formal organisation, creating new art projects, collaborations, events, workshops and film screenings.

It is one of the aims of Holy Hiatus to maintain an online archive as a resource for artists and researchers interested in the themse of the organisation.

To date, two projects are archived, the artists’ commissions: Holy Hiatus – ritual, community and place 2008 and the Symposium in 2010 Holy Hiatus – Performing ritual, community and place.
